"I have had the privilege of volunteering with Habitat for Humanity when I was in college, since I led a small group of other student volunteers to Tallahassee, FL for our Spring Break. I fell in love with the ability to be able to not only learn new skills, but to also meet other great people, all while building a home for someone. The next couple of years I continued to volunteer in the weekends. My next big adventure with Habitat for Humanity International was when I traveled and volunteered in Sri Lanka, after the Tsunami hit in 2005. My heart broke as I saw the devastation of the people but my heart was also filled with hope as I saw how one could tangibly be able to serve and work in order to help others. Needless to say, volunteering with Habitat for Humanity always leaves me wanting to give more, and to see how truly blessed we are.

Now, Its been a while since I have consistently volunteered with Habitat, but Ive recently been seeking balance in my daily life and now that my time is more flexible (Realtor), I want to be part of this great opportunity so I want to invite others to come, share a couple of hours of your day, learn a new skill, give a little of your time and you will leave feeling refreshed and knowing that you been part of this great program.

I hope to meet new faces and to see some friends out there, let's get this home built! "
